well as everyone knows its a long long wait to get your cars finally home! I am SOOO happy to finally announce that i was able to pick her up on thursday. Unfortunately as my luck would have it 10 miles off the dealers lots the skys opened up and it rained for two days straight and 500 miles later she shows it.
First off this car is insane. I had a camaro 2SS and that car was quick and you felt every bit of it. This vet is something else tho. The only way i can describe it is you hit 60 bf you even know it and she is begging for more. I cant get over how smooth the acceleration is it blows my mind and i have yet to really open it up due to wanting to break it in a bit and also i want to get to know her so i dont put her into a side rail b.c im not familiar with that power.
Second id like to that Dennis at Les standford. every local dealer i went to looked at me (25 yrs old) and essentially showed me the door. (literally one guy walked me to the back of the shop gave me his card and walked me out the back door within 5 min and said "call later") Dennis though made this all very smooth and treated me great. made everything happen just as i wanted it.
Now to the only down side iv had. Within 200 miles iv lost all power or something to my infotation system. i have no radio no nothing. Just turned her off at a gas station and when i got back in it was dead. Hoping its a blown fuse and i can get it taken care of quickly. but 500 miles home with no radio sucks!!!!
Congrats. Hope this C7 is the first purchase in your Corvette future. I was 24 when I bought a one year old 1978. I've owned one ever since. It's called Corvette Fever. My week old 2015.

GOODNESS thats sharp!! the red looks great with its!!
little south of you, actually alot south. Evansville.
No worries. I haven't driven much the last few days because of the rain. Mine is my first corvette as well. I've always been a motorcycle guy, but I must admit the Vette has me loving 4 wheels as well. Enjoy the ride.

Unfortuntly all iv seen is rain. i havnt seen rain in almost a month and our typical Indiana weather showed up just in time for my drive home
Congrats "walky35" and "HAD2HAV2". The more you drive this awesome car, the more you'll love it. And, the more compliments, photos and gawking you'll get from complete strangers. Going to the gas station is always an experience. The car is a celebrity and the paparazzi come out. Soak it in. It doesn't happen with every car.
P.S. - "walky35", I too had Dennis Tap as my salesman. He was great to work with. I look forward to future purchases with him.

Congrats on the new car. You got the best color but I am biased (Picked up my Laguna Blue/Red interior last Friday). I was 25 when I purchased my 1st new Corvette and got treated the same way. I pulled up in my purchased used 1995 Corvette (Bought on my own) and the dealer ask how much my dad owed on it. I told him my dad owed nothing but I owed 2k (20K trade in value). All the sudden he want to talk to me. I just looked at him and ask if a salesperson was around. He said I am and I said no your a joke and left. Funny thing is went to the Porsche dealer and they tossed me the keys said take it around the block and tell us what you think. My wife is on Porsche number 6. She will not even consider a Corvette for herself just because of the way we were treated.

I'll have to admit that my first was , wow 26, that's awfull young to be buying an expensive car like a Corvette. Then I did the math, in late 1975 I ordered my dream car, a torch red 1976 C3 corvette coope, I was a 26 year old Captain in the Army stationed in Ramstine Germany. I hve had a Corvette ever since. Here is my latest "dream car"
