mine doesn't shift like a Miata, sometimes it's a bit clunky hot or cold but I think it's more of a matter of shifting at the right RPM's.

Does anyone have an MGW Shifter installed? Are you feeling the same issue?

I only have 12x miles on mine... But I love the m7. It feels great with no noticeable syncro chatter. Coming from the 5 speed in my evo with a full steel shifter cage and short shifter the only thing I have to get used to is the extra gears... That will take a bit of time before its natural lol. I do plan on picking up the mgw unit in the near future. I like the rifle bolt feel... And as an avid precision rifle shooter I want the good blueprinted action feel!

Well I have cold shift problems few times will not go in first jumped out of first couple times think it's not going all the way in cold. Up and downshift to second is hard cold, seems to be getting better I use the heel toe paddles to help witH down shifting.
2015 z51 2400 miles 30 vetts and counting 25 manuals so it's not my not knowing how trade 2012 Z06 with Amsoil torque thrust auto trans fluid for my 15.

I can shift fine several times In a row iand then the next time it will not want to go into 2nd at all.

Anyone else experience this?
I've been experiencing this issue since new. When cold it exhibits the crunch, when warm no problem. A definite crunch shifting 1-2, 2-3, car had 3200 miles and it's not getting better, dealer has had the car for a week trying to decide if it's normal or not. GM techs can't even agree! I'm frustrated just looking for a definitive answer. GM is replacing a servo tomorrow. See what happens.

I have (thankfully!) had no issues and would definitely go M7 again.

Did they solve your issues for you? I really don't like the way mine feels. Dealer says its normal. My C5 and C6 felt way better.

Shifting a bit stiff when cold, no sync problems. Fine after it warms up. MGW Shifter going in soon. I'd buy the M7 again in a heartbeat. Nothing like running through the gears in the track mode.

I installed the MGW about 8 months ago or so, best mod I've done. The gear changes are much more precise.

2400 miles and 14 months old. 1-2 shifts are stiff until warm. No problems except when using "rev matching" during decelling it will sometimes over rev engine. Not even close to redline but much more than needed.
Will not have an auto. It's drive or be driven.
