Default AC very strong?

Is it just me - or does the ac blow pretty damn strong? Even on the lowest setting I feel like it is quite the flow of air haha. Not that this is a bad thing as a working ac is always a great thing lol but damn the lowest setting as compared to my old bmw is miles apart.

Try running it in manual mode until the car gets up to (interior) temp...then switch to Auto..

GM nailed it on the HVAC. Plus, the A/C **** is simply perfect as well as the fan speed being old school analog...love it.

Disclaimer: I have the transparent roof.

I have not found it to be astounding, but only adequate.

The AC is strong enough but I hate the climate control system. Why can't I override what it when I want?

When driving a convertible with the top down, I don't want the computer deciding for me what setting of air flow and temperature I should be receiving.

I want to decide that.

I am liking my climate controls system and right now am more concerned about the heating capabilities as winter approaches. I won't be using much A/C between now and when she is covered for the winter.

I agree. I have mine on the lowest setting still too much flow. My other cars have a nice easy flow that is much nicer. I am not sure why the low setting is so strong. I guess , as always, it is a matter of opinion.

If you override the automatic system, what is the point of having an automatic system? The automatic system, in my opinion, should have a lower speed fan.

NO you guys. Use the auto. Set the startup fan speed as shown in post#4 to low. Thus, when you start the car, it runs a low speed fan to adjust the temperature rather than the ***** to the wall high speed. I've had mine set to low and it is great. No big blast of air and fan speed when you start the car. You then leave it on "Auto" and the car maintains the temperature that you selected.

That doesn't change the fact, in some of our opinions, the fan is blowing too hard on the low setting on automatic or manual. Understand it is a matter of opinion not fact. Do not confuse the two.

Well, no one has ever accused me of confusing fact versus opinion! They usually are massively dissimilar!

Auto does not work very well in my opinion. I've aleady had to fiddle with temp and fan speed more in one week than in 5 years of ownership of my last car. In that car I set the temp the day I bought it and never touched it again. My wife's SUV is as bad as the C7.

Wow, haven't heard this complaint before! I live in Vegas and it works perfectly for me (kinda hot here at times). It can get kind of cold at times, so readjust or turn it off. It's a small cabin so it will cool down very fast. Beats being too hot!

I find the lowest setting surprisingly loud.
