Default Disappointed in C7 quality

My car will be 2 weeks Friday and already having issues. Tuesday I go out in the garage and there is a puddle of coolant under the front of the car. Took it to the dealership and find out the radiator is defective. Get car back today and get home and now the stripe going across the transparent roof has huge bubbles everywhere on the drivers side. Not a happy customer and this is my 6th new Vette in 10yrs. So far the most disappointing from the new ownership perspective. Quality so far is disappointing. Hopefully will be all good from here.

Been there, done that... My first C7 was in the shop a ton. Your issues seem straight forward and hopefully you're good to go after the repairs! Just drive the snot out of it, you've got a warranty!

I have owned Corvettes for many years now. I had high hopes for the C7 to be the first Corvette to shatter the stereotype of the past. I thought for sure C7 would be built to a higher standard using higher quality parts and more careful assembly but it appears I was wrong. It really makes me sad to hear of all the goofy issues people are having with the cars. I planned on ordering a 2015 but now I'm thinking twice, the price vs the quality just seems to be askew. Hope you get your car fixed to your satisfaction soon.

Sorry to hear. I try to avoid 1st year cars, and 2nd year cars built too close to the first year.

Over 37,000 C7s were sold in 2014. Thinking that there is any statistical correlation between what some people choose to post on a forum and actual quality is just plain silly. The vast majority of 2014 C7s have had no problems, but don't let facts skew your thinking.

His issue could happen to a 7th year car.

I guess it's all just a matter of expectations. These are very complex cars with many different areas of potential problems. While none of us would enjoy the couple of issues you're dealing with, they certainly do not point to anything vaguely resembling a general quality problem. I suggest getting the problems corrected, moving on, and enjoying your car.

Sorry you're having those problems. Hope you get them fixed quickly and have good luck the rest of your ownership of the car.

Sorry to hear your problems never fun to run back and forth to the dealer but remember how fun it is to drive

I have had nothing but fun and problem free 3400 miles and 10months of ownership so they're not all problem cars. Heck writing this right now is making me smile and think of the ride to work tomorrow

How did they put a defective <new> radiator in a brand new car? That's hard to believe that a car company could or would do that without knowing it - and that a new radiator could be defective.

Glad you're reporting these issues for the heads-up factor. Good luck going forward with the car.

Yup.

Bigtime. There's little excuse for the roof decal developing bubbles @ 2-weeks - none at all. A definite quality issue with the C7 from just the few reported here. The majority won't be reported here, or noticed by their owners.
