Default XM/Storage Question

C7 will be going into storage for the winter. I'd like to know if anyone has successfully been able to suspend their XM Radio subscription while the car is in storage and reactivate it when the car is brought out in the spring for the remainder of the subscription term.

I'm going to call them soon.
But I was also wondering, can I transfer my XM subscription to my wife's car?
She loves the talk shows on XM & has repeatedly renewed her subscriptions, whereas, I only listen to music & hate the extremely poor quality of the compressed music on XM...

Guys, from what I understand, you cannot suspend your subscription nor can you transfer them to another car.

This was also discussed in depth back in the C6 forum when XM was made available and what was quoted above was basically the outcome.

My free trial ends next spring. When renewal time comes and I have to spend my money I will press the issue of winter suspension. If I can't do it I will not subscribe. It just is not that valuable to me. I already had this discussion with OnStar and was told that I would be able to suspend service. We will see in a few weeks when I put the car in mothballs.

I had another XM subscription and tried to transfer my Vette subscription to it but was totally blown off because this is a trial subscription. I cancelled the first and will cancel this one on the 25th when it runs out.
It is real easy to get renewals for $25 for 5 or 6 months but I find that not acceptable primarily because you have to call to renew and it is very difficult for them to let you off the hook. They will not extend that rate for a longer time.
Your trial will simply run out at the end of a year. Do not try to add your trial subscription to any other or they will automatically add your credit card to it.
If you want to use XM, then just sign up when you want it at $25 and let it expire when you store your car and pay by check.
