I second this... I had the door panels off yesterday and saw a lot of SafeTec labels stamped on them. The other interior panels didn't have any stamping to speak of.
Seats are made by Lear. Same company that made the C6 seats.
True -- but Lear is a giant enterprise that makes seats for many makes -- including BMW vehicles built in the USA. Lear builds the seats to the specifications and budgets provided by the car company.
I hate to tell you this, but almost everything is made in China.
Really?? A large percentage of C7 parts and of course major drivetrain components, are made in the US. I strongly support buying American when possible but your statement isn’t correct. Don

Well, we could debate this forever but neither is wrong. I was half joking. I worked in China for many years and personally witnessed US manufacturing moving production over there. Sad.

I understand your viewpoint. It’s tough competing with a country/industry that pays workers dirt wages, no worker safety rules, little to no pollution regs, no benefits or retirement programs and a great lack of lawyers (wouldn’t drastically reducing the numbers of ambulance chasing lawyers help this nation?) all conspire to give China a great financial edge over our companies. I can say without fear of contradiction, that many Delco parts are IN FACT, manufactured in China. Case in point - Z06 brake rotors
(the rules that allow a product to be labeled "Made In USA" allow a great many things manufactured elsewhere to use that label)

True! I was involved in a deal where the 2-way radio was 100% made in Malaysia but it shipped to the USA where the battery was installed and software loaded. Only took a few minutes. Shazam! Made in the USA.
