Okay, my car is built and currently has a production code is 4D00 (I'd not seen that one before on any of the lists of codes).

Investigating a bit further I believe it means my car was pulled for a closer QC inspection or check

Since Corvettes are all QC'd at the factory, every 10-15th car is pulled for a closer inspection to make sure everything is "according to Hoyle".

I expect to see a few extra miles on my Odo, but as long as the car is up to snuff when I get it, I've got no complaints. Hopefully they check everything out so there will be no surprises when I pick it up.

Guessing my shipment may be delayed a few days, but feel fortunate that mine was one they chose to examine a bit closer for faults or flaws.

I'm pretty stoked.

4D00 On Hold. My car was cycled through this code about three times, Easter Holiday. Also seems to apply to car carrier assignment? (a generic code when nothing else will do) My car had 2 miles on the clock when delivered to my dealer. I

 

I was at 4D00 last week, TPW 10/13.

Today I called, and was told i was at 4000. I'm really not sure how the system works. The Chevy Cust care person told me the car was just waiting for rail shipment which makes no sense because i'm in NJ, thought they were trucked up here?

4D00 is on hold for QC, while 4000 is available to ship. Makes sense that 4000 would occur after 4D00. As for rail shipment, I know most of the northeast is rail shipment.
