Default Auto Memory Recall

I have my 2014 Stingray set to automatically recall the seat, mirror and steering wheel position at ignition on. Everything was working fine until today. Now when I start the car it will not automatically recall the seat, mirror and steering wheel positions. I can use the memory recall button on the drivers door and that works. When I turn the ignition off the driver's seat and steering wheel will automatically go to the exit position however when I turn the ignition on nothing moves.

Any ideas of what is going on or how to fix the issue?

Thanks,
David

The ebrake must be engaged for the recall-on-ignition-on to work. I was reminded of this today. I had neglected to set the brake, and momentarily couldn't figure out why the recall wasn't working.

One possibility would be if it's a manual you have to have the e-brake on or it won't automatically recall when you start it. This is the case on my 2015 but I know there might be slight differences on the 2014s.

I figured out what I was doing wrong. It's an automatic so I don't need the e brake set on but in my own stupidity, I grabbed the wrong key fob and the position is set for the one key fob I usually use not for the spare key fob. DUH !!!!

We've all been there. Glad it was an easy fix.

That was my thought half-way through your OP. If you are the only driver, my suggestion would be to set both fobs to your seat and mirror preferences. That way, It won't matter which fob you grab.

I do that if mrowc6 won't be driving it for awhile (such as my latest trip of 7000 miles).

Had the same thought as I was ½ way thru! If you have 2 drivers this is an inexpensive solution and solves another problem, which is why I installed it. A forum poster commented they lost their key FOB (expensive) because it fell off of the detachable key that they had a ring attached. The same thing happened to me except mine was left in my jeans so wasn’t lost. Unlike my C6, which required a lot of force to press the key release the C7 FOB comes off too easily. This silicon rubber cover comes in many colors and retains the key. To remove it you have to remover the upper rubber ends. It's inexpensive. The Stingray on the key ring is not needed but neat! Just Google Corvette silicon key cover- lots of sources.

I have the same covers. Source usually found in the back of most car mags e.g. Road&Track. Also cushions the fob when I drop it on the concrete every now and then.
