Update on car not recognizing USB or SD card - PROBLEM SOLVED
A month ago my 2015 coupe developed a malfunction whereby the audio system wasn't recognizing media in any of the USB or SD ports. It was very bewildering because everything was working fine for my first 10 days of ownership, then it stopped working. Here's a link to my original thread on the subject: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...r-working.html
I'm pleased (and relieved) to report that after nine days in my dealer's service department, the cause of the problem has been identified and corrected. Though it took some time, my dealer followed a carefully orchestrated process of elimination (as prescribed by GM) and eventually confirmed the failure of a part called the "Human Machine Interface". They ordered a replacement, installed it, programmed it, and all is now well. This was only after they were able to eliminate other, less tedious (and less invasive) ways to the cure.
I'm sharing this because there are bound to be others here who experience a similar problem. If/when that happens, this info may be of help in getting the problem resolved.

Glad it worked out for you and thanks for posting the solution. In recent days (although it hasn't happened in a couple) my screen would blink and flicker and get all f'kd up and then eventually go blank, all controls worked, sound was on, just no display. Turning it off via the power button didn't do anything, the only way it would "reset" itself was to turn the car off and start it again. On Sunday it happened again but instead of turning the car off I just let be, after a few minutes it came back on again, it was almost as if it did everything in reverse, it would go all scrambled but then to normal, crazy. It hasn't happened since Sunday so I hope it fixed itself (wishful thinking) but if it does I will take it to the dealer and recommend they order an HMI.
On a related note, when I first got the car I used a micro SD card and USB adapter to play my music then one day all of my music was gone, I couldn't even get it going on my computer. I use a regular micro USB stick now and aside from it saying "No Media Detected" once in a while (although it still plays the music) I haven't had any problems. I have no idea WTH is going on with this infotainment system but I certainly hope they worked out all the bugs for the 2015 models.
I'm gald you got it working again. Though it sounds like quite an elaborate troubleshooting technique; not certain that a lot of dealers could handle it.
