Default Performance shifting

I have had my 14 A6 for about six months. Didn't notice this at first, but lately when in sport mode I will get on the gas and it goes into performance shifting mode, but when I let off the gas to slow to a low speed or a stop it is slow to shift down. It holds the RPMs for a few seconds. Is this Normal?

Does anyone know the max speed and rpm in each of the seven gears?

Ignoring the person that ignored the original question....

Yes, that is normal. If it thinks you are driving in a performance oriented manner, it will too. So it will keep the revs high to keep the power available along with quickening the throttle response, steering response, and so on. This is what you would want when driving on a track. When it thinks you are back to relaxed driving it will go back to "normal" operation.
