I have had my C7 for over a year now. I began hearing a groaning/pop sound in the front end about a week ago at parking lot speed, especially turning right. I took the car to the dealer last Tuesday. They had a hard time finding it at first. They found the right camber adjustment nut loose. Tightening it did not help and then they discovered the mag shock was oily shiny. A seal on the shock had failed and oil covered everything in the wheel well, apparently worked its way into the camber adjustment bolt and allowed it to loosen. All is now repaired/replaced and tight with extra nut locked on as of today and Bowling Green had the faulty shock sent to them immediately. Thanks GM for competent work and to Bowling Green for their tech support.
In prior gen Vettes, the camber nut has been somewhat loose to begin with. I also doubt it came loose from oil on it. This is the first I've read of a MSRC shock going bad on a C7 tho. Glad it's fixed.
Note: this was posted by "Bill Dearborn" recently: "You could also have worn rear control arm bushings that could be causing issues. Another thing to check is to see if the LCA camber adjustment cams are tight. A lot of alignment guys don't torque them down enough (this is one of those areas where I am a tighter is better type of guy and I use wrench extensions to get them tight)."
Had a MSRC go bad on my CTS-V after only 5000 miles. Was discovered when getting performance parts put on the car. Made me a little nervous about getting another car with them.

As opposed to a shock failure on a conventional suspension? These not only fail on occasion, but also need regular replacement.
I'm assuming Caddy replaced your shock under warranty.
