Anybody have predictions if, and when, there will be a horsepower bump on the Stingray? IF they do it I'm thinking 2017 model year. I honestly don't know how much more they can do to the car.
I'm asking because I will either buy a 2015 next spring or get a 2016 depending on what they preview in April for the upcoming model year.
Horsepower increase ? What, maybe 20/30 or even 40 horsepower ? Won't amount to squat. Let me guess, you want more horsepower that you can really feel with a warranty. That's easy. Either Callaway or a C7 Z06. Both are available to order now.

I would bet for 2016, we get 475 hp in the regular Stingray with NPP.
That would be fine and of course welcome. On the other hand, I seriously doubt anyone’s “seat of the pants meter” is sensitive enough for them to honestly state that they can detect a 3% increase in power. Don

Honestly you would be just fine with the 15. Let us tune it for you. We will add 35 WHP, which will feel SLIGHTLY quicker. But, the real "feel" that you're seeking will lie in the tighter shifts!

That's what I've heard. I personally would not sit it out waiting for that tho. Not to mention as other's have mentioned getting to 475HP is a few bolt-ons away.
What I'm really thinking is that another GS is gonna debut around that time as well making 500-550 just because of the extreme distance in HP from the base to the Z06. We are talking about an almost 200HP difference between the two.

A C7 "GS" model w/ widebody would get me to make the move.
Raise the DI fuel rail pressure to
2,900lbs. Raise the static CR to
12.5/1.
Otherwise, there's not much else to do given rev limitation of the valve train. Even if rev could go to 8k, the heads don't flow enough to make more HP above 6.5k (afaik)

Is it a boxed (program) tune or does one have to get the car to U?
Is it a boxed (program) tune or does one have to get the car to U?
No, it is NOT canned tuning. All of our tuning is done on a custom basis. You do not have to send us your car, although you can if you'd like to. When we send you our tuner it is shipped blank, it will copy some data (including car driving data) and when you email us that file we start building your custom tune files.
Are you going to wait 1 or 2 years and miss driving this fantastic car all to get a bit more HP? Time is money and life is short. A vette is not a practical purchase at best. Go get a vette and enjoy the ride.
