Having completed the 2 day level 1 and was not able to stay for day 3 I am returning in the Spring for level 2. Anyone done this and does it compare or is it much more intense than level one. I was amazed how lined out and instructive level 1 was looking forward to a continuation of skill level in 2. Any comments?
I did the 3-day level 1 class, and hope to go back some day for level-2. My understanding is that it focuses much more on open track time. Should be very useful and fun.
I've not been to level 2, but believe it focuses more track time and advanced techniques. You will also have to complete the 3rd day of level 1 if you only completed the 2 day course of level 1 which is a additional cost as well.
Having just completed level 2 I will say both you and the car will
get a great workout, much more intense than level 1 and you will
add a lot more to your skill set on track if you listen and concentrate.
I did a level 2 two day course in mid May and it was a lot of fun. Lead/follow follow/lead and open lapping. Look at some posts by formula redline who was there too.
I hope this isn't considered hijacking your thread, but since you've just been there, what would you think would be the minimum driving experience necessary to get a good experience from the Corvette Owner's class there? Once the allocations start showing up for auto/vert Z06s, I'm planning on getting one and considering taking my son, who will be a newly licensed driver at that time.
My hope is that it would be a way for him to get excited about learning some good driving skills, but I'm thinking that he may not yet have a strong enough foundation for it to be any use. What do you think?

I think the he needs to take a car control clinic locally driving whatever sporty or non sporty car you have before going to a racetrack. Porsche clubs, bmw, audi clubs have these. Check your local clubs for info on these things. You want to have some confidence but remain level headed before racetrack events. Even winter driving skills is beneficial for rookies and veterans alike IMO.
We had one 17 yo in our class. He was there with special permission. You may have to be 18. He is a NASCAR truck series driver for Kyle Busch Motorsports and was the fastest in our group of 16. Divided in 9 and 7.
An exception for sure.
Level 2 is a great class. So good, I'm going back for it again this March. You really need a good set of basic skills before going to level 2.
I really liked the format and the on track instruction. I got the most out of the corner instruction. Here is a couple of videos from my level 2 course.
If you haven't had the chance to run the living **** out of somebody else's car and walk away without even looking at fuel, tires and brake wear, I highly recommend it.

Your son will have the time of his life ,Rick Malone and his talented staff will make sure of it ,I took my 16 year old son Austin , for the new stingray owners 3 day class back in July ,then we went back and did a private lesson in October ,it is a great father and son adventure that is highly recommended. They have some automatic cars if your son is intimidated by the manuals . Its a lot of fun doing lead follow sessions watching your child progressively advance his driving skills in a controlled environment ,could you imagine being a kid driving a new corvette at triple digit speeds on a race track .
You got that right. I bought the 3rd day obviously with some reservation re: is it worth it? At the end of the 3rd day I was ready to pay and do it all over again. I also bought the photo package, they do a good job. Here's a link to some of the ones they took of me. Just a little bit more money well spent . https://plus.google.com/photos/11271...CNT73ZCWsaqfQg

Great videos. I am going in January. How did you get the display info on the video? The track, speed and g-meter data really tell the story. I'm bringing my GoPro but Don't knowhow to integrate it to the data stream.
