I used the same frame. Get tickets quick if "any letter or number" is even partially covered. That’s the law in SC. Be careful when in SC, have a friend who is a State Constable and is on a number of frequent drug stops. A covered plate letter gives them an excuse to stop you. Even if they look for and find nothing, it’s a $125 fine for anyone including out of state folks! However you can add a decal “if” it doesn’t touch any letter or number! My C7 flags are actually a lapel pin! Because the plate has a green color I painted my bolt caps. Was going to paint the frame carbon flash with spray can but the black painted frame matches fine.
I picked a plain black plastic frame up at Walmart and then had O'Rielly Auto parts mix me up a spray can of Cyber Gray paint and I painted it to match my car.
I don't remember the exact price but got this from Advantage Auto. The thin edge doesn't cover any info on the tag and the plexiglass cover keeps the tag clean and helps protect the decal from theft. I think it was less than $15 tho.

I got the same frame for the rear.... On the front I just use the rubber border from Pep Boys...

The plastic frame I purchased also came with the clear plastic cover. because the clear cover was a bubble, I couldn't use my FOB manual key to open the rear hatch. I had to discard the clear cover and had to resort to wash the license plate directly instead of washing a clear cover.
Went to local Autozone........got a rubberized frame and bolt covers as above. Looks great, no noise vibration on body and very cheap!!!
