Default Low tech annoyance

I guess Monday can make us more cranky but I was annoyed to see that the clock did not reset itself for daylight saving time. Why can Honda so easily have this covered when GM cannot? World class company indeed!

Guess it could use the GPS to keep track of where Daylight Savings is and isn’t. Probably go crazy as you cross counties in Indiana!

Mine changed by itself.
And when I went from VA to KY last month, it auto-changed when I crossed time-zones

Same here. Time zones and DST automatically changed. I do not have Sirius or On-Star.

There may be a setting in the setup to change to dst. There was in my GXP, there is in my Ford and I believe I even saw it in the Equinox.

I have a portable alarm clock(that has been running for over five years on it's original batteries), and it automatically updates the times as well as keeping months/days/leap years correct.

I had a wrist watch(gave it to my neighbor's daughter) that would, at around 2:30 AM each morning, automatically tune in to a super clock in Colorado, and update the time to within a second.

Neither cost as much as a C7.

I didn't even think about it until this post, but, thinking back to my drive today, the clock was correct.

Do either run 11.5 second quarters?

Just kidding.

Your Infotainment will update automatically if set to.
Here is the step by step to verify:

Go to the Home Screen > Settings > Time and Date > Set Time > Auto Set > On

if I were to throw them into my passenger seat of my C6 Z06, then yes, with room to spare.

I have it auto-set, and not only does it work for DST changes, it also works like a charm when traveling through different time zones. During my trip out west this summer, I never even had to give conscious thought about when I crossed into a different time zone.

In fact, it worked so seamlessly, that it wasn't until yesterday morning that I realized how well it actually worked on the trip.
