On the left, select performance menu;
Scroll up/down to lap timer;
Go right and start the timer;
Press select at each lap;
Go back to the lap timer screen and then to the right to reset/stop.

There is no lap timer option, just timer (0-60). It's a 2015, and I have yet to figure out how to start the lap timer. I have tried everything I can find still no lap timer.

It's this display, which is one selection down from the 0-60 timer. Press select to start the timer and mark laps. Press the right button to get to a Reset Timer function.
There is a function on the PDR screen, marked finish line. Mine works after I do one lap and cross the premarked finish line.
I know about that one (haven't tried it yet) but I thought they were completely separate timers since the PDR is a pretty stand-alone system. Perhaps they tied them together. I'll have to play with it and see what happens.
Yes, with the PDR there is no separate timer in the dash controls. The lap times shown on the dash are the ones measured by the PDR once you set the start/finish line.
