What's the deal with this? I know I could ask the owner, and it seems like a perfectly good car. This car has been relisted like 4 times. It's a 3LT Z51 that listed for $72,XXX and has only 3,700 miles. In fact, it was the exact one I was wanting (until recently seeing the Laguna Blue in person). This car was orignally $68,000 "Buy it Now" and is now at $58,900, and nobody has used the "buy it now" option or offered a good amount as an offer. Does this have anything to do with the 8-speed automatics that are in the 2015's? That's all I can think of.
It has nothing to do with the transmission. I suspect the vast majority of potential C7 buyers aren't likely to buy on sight unseen on eBay. I know I wouldn't.

Interesting.
I had my C6 listed here (well, in the C6 section) for weeks and only one bite that never panned out. The first day I listed it on Ebay, I received an offer and sold it that day.
I've seen that car about 3 months ago on autotrader. Not sure why it hasn't sold yet should sell pretty quick at the latest price but the owner is really eating it.
I see nothing wrong with the C7 ad on eBay. First of all it's a 2014. Looks like he may have paid full MSRP. When the 2014 C7 first came out, it was a "hot" car. Depreciation on these cars are quite steep within the first 2 years of ownership. In additon, the C7 is a "dime a dozen" car with over 37,285+ produced in the 2014 MY.
In my view, he is taking a loss as expected. The ad appears to be straight forward, and the price somewhat attractive. He states that he has a "family" issue and needs the money. That is not unusal.
We never know what the problem might be, but seems very logical. The C7 is located in Corpus Christi, TX and anyone is welcome to go inspect the car and drive it. So if you have a genuine interest, it may be very well worth the expense to pick up a Southwest Airlines flight to inspect the car. Since the C7 is well priced, and few hundred dollars is small change to buy a $58,000 automobile. His loss will be someones gain.
Call the owner, run a Carfax. Go see the car.
eBay is a good source for a starting pioint to view C7's and see what the aftermarket pricing is.

It didnt sell and he dropped it to 57,000. I don't think there has been any other 14 that I've seen that has been offered for that (with the options and original MSRP) I know eBay isn't the overall best place, because usually the bids don't go as high as a car is worth, like it is in town. Also, as far as the resale goes with automatics, I would think they would drop considerably. I know that I would rather have an 8-speed than a six if I was getting an automatic and would pay more.
10k off with 3400miles.Couple dealers already 4-6 off zero miles.So 4k savings.
Things to think about:Was it brkn. in properly?
How many beatings on them pricey tires?
Is it flawless? Road rash,etc.
Do you have cash?If not a higher interest rate on a used car.
Trade accepted to cut down on sales tax?
Most of all piece of mind.
Is it worth 4k now? 2014's will have to be lower in price to move.
Ohh, transportation costs

Reality bites. Whenever he hits the market price, considering Dale's comments above, it will sell.

For the price difference, I would go with a new one vs used.

All very good points. Sounds like the guy really wants to get the car sold and the price is getting very attractive.

It probably is the black wheels and the red interior that are turning off buyers and killing the sale.
I have bought and sold around 25 vettes over the years and in the last few years have sold them on eBay. Never has taken longer than a week and the last one went in 3 days. I found the way to get it sold is with the buy it now auction type listing with the make offer option. Received offers from all over the US even in the middle of the winter and the make offer option allows you to interact with the potential buyers and weed out the flakes.
All the sales went smooth and easy and only costs around $125 if it sells and next to nothing if it doesn't sell.

We have a winner...
Is a model year and 3700 miles worth ~4k? Now take into account the interest rate difference if you are financing it... he's asking very very close to the same price as a brand spanking new 2015.
