Default First time HUD owner question

I have had my 2015 for 7 weeks. I ordered the 2LT that has the HUD option, my first HUD. MY question is, when I move my head slightly to the right of center the HUD display light dims and goes slightly red. I can move my head to the left of center, the HUD is bright with no reddish color. Since the HUD cannot be moved sideways, is this common?

I have a 2014 2LT non-Z51 with HUD. Mine does the same month thing as yours. I think it is normal.

I notice this when wearing polarizing sunglasses (pretty much all the time I drive).

Not sure I can say it exists without 'em however...

Ken, you are right. It was my prescription sunglasses. Due to the end of day light saving time I had to switch to my regular glasses before I arrived home. I red hue was gone. I read about polarized lens in the manual but was unsure about my sunglasses. Love the HUD. I hardly ever look down. Sometimes I forget to look at the gas gauge. Steering wheel blocks part of the gas gauge view. Thanks to all.

Hud indicates when fuel is low.
