Default Performance vs. opinion

Performance can be quantified to a great extent but opinions are just that - opinions. I happen to not like black wheels ( my opinion ) but I'm not going say that a sports car shouldn't have them.
I have a 2015 CR Z51 with CHROME wheels and get thumbs-up all the time - thank-you-very-much.

How old are you?? I'm nor saying that to be insulting at all. I'm just curious because it seems usually older guys like the chrome and younger guys prefer black. Not always but seems like a generation difference on wheel preference. Im 33

lol that's why I said NOT ALWAYS but I do find it to be the norm. I had to laugh because I just ordered a 15 Z51 shark gray with black rims, badges, mirrors and anything you can black out. Then I saw a dealer thread of people picking up there cars and one guy had to be like in his 90's and ordered the same exact car as me!! lol That dudes cool

They are 100% correct. The paddles themselves are cheap. I am surprised nobody has yet offered an aftermarket replacement.

You'd better work on your spelling and punctuation.

No I had a black Camaro and all the swirls and scratches. Just impossible to keep clean for me. I'd rather the dark gray which hides imperfections better.

Reply to thegame: you're right - I am almost 70 and I think your observation holds true in most cases. Most of we older guys started noticing and loving cars in the 50's and 60's when chrome was king. I just didn't like C&D writer being so dogmatic about it.

I'm 63. It took me exactly 3 weeks to warm-up to the black wheels on the C7. Every time I see the chrome or polished aluminum on a C7, I almost barf - and immediately realize that it's owned by an old geezer - every time, all day I've been correct too !

About 6 months ago I saw a vendor with aluminum replacement paddles but for the life of me I can't find the post.
