I have read posts about how inaccurate the Chevrolet Corvette Order Tracking Site is so I thought I might relay my own experience.
I have found it to be totally accurate but delayed by a small amount of time. The shipped / en-route segment is not a correct category as my car actually sat in the "bayed" mode for more than a week after it was produced but it showed on the site as shipped.
Specifically, it was built on Wednesday, October 29th and it actually shipped on November 6th. The actual shipping to Ohio took only one day and the Corvette Site showed in at the dealer's today. Again, accurate!
All-in-all this is a fairly accurate representation but it does not show the codes along the way. Frankly, Becky @ Rogers Chevrolet is amazing as she tracks your car for you even though she did not sell it. She is truly a friend to the Corvette community and should be recognized for it.
If you have no other source, the Chevrolet order tracking for the Corvette is not a bad source from my perspective.

Reason: clarity
The order tracking site combine many status codes into a small number of tracker statuses:

Once your order is assigned to an allocation by your dealer, you will very quickly move from 1100 to 3000.

It would be really nice for those of us waiting on pins and needles if they made a separate category for "Order Accepted" (Code 2000+) distinct from "Order Placed" (1100+).

IT WOULD be even nicer ..if GM concentrated on building SOLD VEHICLES WITH DEPOSITS...rather than build and ship vehicles that sit on showroom floors...gather dust ..and oohs and ahhhs!

Ain't that the truth! Kinda makes one see how they went bankrupt.
So, any way to find your actual code status vs. just the few groupings on the web site?
......with out pestering a real person every half hour.
Your dealer should provide this information to you. Tell them you want it emailed to you once a week or it will reflect negatively on your dealership survey. Make them earn the money they will make off of you and make them earn their survey rating.
From: From San Diego to Bentonville, AR.....WTF was I thinking?!? Oh yeah, that free state thingy!

Got it......and they have been very good so far. Just wondering if there was a way to look up the detailed status when I wanted.

Just took a plant tour several weeks ago, the Tour Guide mentioned that 90% of the Corvettes built are 'Sold' orders.(I think that I heard him correctly).

That's probably pretty accurate. I doubt you're going to find a lot of cars just sitting on lots. I couldn't even test drive a Z51 car before buying one because the dealership simply didn't have any.

Thanks.
OK, so the answer is no. There is no place that you can go to get the status code yourself. Getting the status code requires human intervention (your dealer, Chevy Customer Service, etc.).

Talk about frustrating... I had a TPW of 10-27 and the car was built 10-31 but as of last night Chevy Tracking told me it was still sitting at the factory waiting to be shipped. The car is already paid in full.

Hey Brad,
You aren't pestering at all! We are more than happy to provide you with an update on your order. You are welcome to check in with us for an update including the status code. I hope this helps.

Be glad that they've improved it since last year. For the 2014 model year, the first category was titled "Order Accepted " which caused a lot of hard feelings from guys who had an order in with a dealer who had inadequate or non-existent allocations, and had no chance of getting their order filled.

Hey C5A,
I apologize for this inconvenience. If you send me your order number, I would be happy to look into this for you. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
