I bought my C7 from Rick Conti and had it shipped to my residence in SoCal. It is Vin #236 for 2015. The car has 150 miles and took it today for smog. I drove about 20 miles (15 on freeway) before arriving at the smog check. Car did not pass. The tech told me I had to drive 150 miles on the freeway and bring it back. The Vehicle Inspection Report says not ready. "Your vehicle failed the Smog Check inspection due to the fact that the vehicle's on-board system has not completed the emission system's self-checks.
Has anyone else had a similar problem with their new car. The car is California certified.
I've seen other threads back in time with the same complaint. Apparently "normal." You might be able to search around and find some of the old threads.

Thanks, I tried searching with the subject "C7 Smog" but didn't see anything that fit my need.
Drive to Palm Springs and back...should be fine after that many miles. I also got my C7 from Rick and drove it home (2500miles). Passed the smog test with flying colors.
For registering my CG 2014 in CA I took it to my mechanic with 600+ miles at 8 in the morning. It failed smog because the sensors had not reset. This has nothing to do with the actual smog measurements of CO, HC, etc. My mechanic told me to drive it for 75 or more miles at 65mph + which I did and the car passed with no problems. He also told me not to bring a car for smog in the early morning unless it has been driving at higher speeds for at least 30 to 40 minutes.
