Default Tire rotation

Upon reading the 2015 manual, I was somewhat surprised same axle tire rotation is recommended every 7500 miles. I, apparently incorrectly, assumed the tires were unidirectional. I'm learning something new about my much awaited delivery almost every day.
What a great educational source this forum is.

That's interesting. For many years I've been swapping my Corvettes' tires left-to-right to equalize the wear on tread blocks and keep them quiet. This used to be controversial because GM didn't recommend it. C5 and C6 owners who complain about noisy Goodyears wouldn't be complaining if they had done this.

C7, C6 Z06, and C6 Z51 tires are not directional. Although C4, C5, and base C6 tires are directional they function just fine going the "wrong" direction in dry conditions. The unidirectional feature comes into play in wet conditions to evacuate water. Then it's best to slow down in the wet.

On the C7 rotation is simple because TPMS sensors are self learning whereas in previous generations you had to either reprogram the TPMS or just remember that the tires are on the opposite side.

Rotating directional tires, particularly like the Goodyear Supercar tires, is a bad idea and not just in wet weather. Those GY tires are some of the worst tires ever made, and rotating them wouldn't make them quieter or last longer. They just plain sucked in every way possible.
