If You can afford the extra money then you have to get the Z06.I mean I really enjoy my 14 C7. I get on it quite A bit.I believe the Z06 would get away from me.
Which would you prefer, I'm wondering what pros and cons are between these two. The c7 is a fun car but the z06 is going to be faster than ****.
The Z06 is better of course for all performance measures and will be more rare/prestigious/collectible. I've got my 2014 Z51 putting out 668 rwhp but I wish I had the heavier duty Z06 drive train and wider rear wheels.
On the cons side, higher initial and maintenance cost; tires, brakes, fuel, insurance will be more. The front splitter will probably get broken off on the first big speed bump.
Well I have the money but if I trade up my just purchased c7 I'd lose a lot of money, the z06 would end up being a 120,000 car and I just can't get myself to go for it. I'm wishing I'd waited now. I am going to trade up anyway to get a manual because the automatic A6 isn't as fun to me, but that'll only cost me 20k. The z06 would cost me another 20k. I'm obviously bad at this car buying business, I even paid 9k over msrp, you can imagine what a sucker I feel like now that I realized people are getting these things for under msrp. It hasn't been a good experience for me. I may be just fishing for reasons not to get the z. Because I seem to be making pretty expensive mistakes lately.

Don't feel bad, this happens all the time. One buys a new vette, falls in love with it, then over time finds things that really bug him. The good news is you have the money, so don't make a second mistake and buy the "under powered " Stingray. Every vette junkie wants the high powered version. As good as the Stingray is, power wise the Z06 will be on a completely different level. Think instant ferocious power whenever you want to switch out of Caddy type cruising to have some fun. The Stingray is fast, but not that kind of fast. Not even close.

Don't feel bad...as you say "you have the money"....and you're driving a great car
I hope you see my comments in the spirit in which they are made.
Although I'm not positive, it appears that you might make decisions without doing a great deal of research and/or giving much thought to those decisions.
Let me suggest that you put everything on hold and keep what you have now. Obviously you're not happy with what you have now and you're thinking of jumping to a 7 speed C7 or a new Z06, both of which will cost you in terms of money and perhaps even in terms of satisfaction or buyer's remorse.
Why not wait to see how the Z06 turns out, give others a chance to do your homework for you and you can also have and take the time to do some research on whether or not the car is really for you.
Maybe an 8 speed auto in a C7 will be the car for you or maybe the Z06 will finally sing the siren's song you'll listen to.
If you're young enough, time is on your side and you'll use it to make a thoughtful, intelligent decision.
