Heat sinks for your front rotors. Used with safety wire. Helps cool the rotors when the car is tracked. Remove the front wheels to install them. Loop the safety wire around the spokes and through the small holes. Don't use them if you don't track the car.
Not enough mass to be an effective heat sink, and they're only touching the hub,not the part that gets hot. They force more air through the openings in the rotor.

OK, I get it, but if they improve brake cooling on the track, why remove them when you're not on the track? Seems like they would enhance brake cooling off the track as well. What harm could it do to leave them in?

They aren't the same metal as the rotor and will cause galvanic corrosion over time.
Caution
Do not leave rotor cooling rings
installed after a track event, as
this can cause corrosion with
long-term use. Rotor cooling rings
are for race track use only. Race
track driving without the rotor
cooling rings may result in brake
pedal fade.
