Went out on a photo shoot with a friend that has a car nearly identical to mine. I shot this with my roof off and holding the camera over the w/s while driving. 2nd one was a static shot with both cars.

A steady hand (not all of us have one) or a tripod will make a lot of difference.

Default Taken by a student of photography...

This pic was taken by a photography student who had a very expensive camera and lens setup. He and his friends were passing by and they saw my car and stopped to take some pics. He said he is studying to be a car photographer.

The 70-200L is a great lens. Did you get the IS version?

The 70-200 IS II is a fantastic lens. It's as sharp as my L primes. Try to shoot at a further distance and zoom with the lens to get some compression and shallower dop.

Here's a shot with the 70-200 of my previous car...

Very nice pics of the cars. Great color capture in the pics - red is a hard color to get just right.
