Default Red Interior - Would I regret not having Microfiber Inserts?

I'm getting a vert and the summers are hot here in So. Cal. Since MF inserts aren't available in this red, I'm Just wondering how advantageous the microfiber inserts are in function and/or appearance, and if I'll regret not having them. Thanks.

I don't think you can get the Micro inserts in AR.

I've not had any issues with mine.

Although I do see the advantage of microfiber inserts for the heat since I live in Texas. I personally don't like the look of them. There is something to having all leather look and feel. When I see the microfiber inserts, the seats just look warn to me. JMO. I don't think you will miss them at all. I suggest you go sit it one and try them out.

I started with a 2lt Kalahari and thought about the inserts, but it just did not do anything for me. Didn't like the feel , or the way my clothes hung up on them. Although they did seem to feel a bit cooler. I have since changed my order to red interior and since there is no insert the choice was easy. With the 2lt or 3lt you get the heated and vented seats which seem to be just fine. The venting is good and I don't believe the heat will be a problem. And living in Texas the heat in the summer can be horrid. I am not going to regret getting the inserts, as I personally like the all leather look and feel.
But only you will know that your decision is the right one if you can find a car to sit in that has the microfiber inserts.

I too have a convertible. The black 2LT interior is ok, even when temperatures are in the mid to upper nineties. I long for ninety degree days.

I think you would regret getting microfiber inserts, they look terrible, and realistically how much cooler do you really think they will be.

I had microfiber inserts on black seats in my C6 and I have leather inserts on black seats on my C7. To be honest, it makes absolutely no difference to me. I don't notice any difference except in appearance, and I rarely stand around looking at my seats. When I am driving I notice no difference at all. If you spend a lot of time on the track you might prefer microfiber but on streets and highways the g forces are just not high enough to feel a significant difference.

The cloth inserts do kinda cheapen the look of the seats a bit.

I'd much rather have full leather seats any day over seats with cloth type inserts... The full leather seats look a lot better in the car, and gives it a higher quality look & feel.

The microfiber inserts are cooler in summer and warmer in cooler weather than straight leather.

Appearance: they add a great contrast in texture.
Function: they don't get hot in direct sun.
I get more compliments on the Brownstone sueded interior then anything else on the car!

My big question is with leather if I got grease on my pants and on to the seat, I could easily clean it. Can you get stains out easily from microfiber?

My concern is how well will they wear. I prefer the all leather look.

Before I purchased, I "surfed" the Caddy CTS sites for long term reviews..... No one had regrets.

I had the Alacantra leather seats in one of my Saleens and I did not care for it as I could not slide in/out of the seats easily. I'm in havasu now where its much hotter than so. cal and the leather with ventilated seats works quite well.
