Default When to order?

I'll say it first, first world problems. I have a 2 car garage, one side for my C6 and one side for my wife's car. I'm thinking I'll be better off waiting until spring to sell my car, I'm pretty sure I'll do a lot better than trading it in in the dead of winter even with the tax advantage. I can get away with having 2 corvettes in the garage and having my wife put her car outside if the weather isn't snowy and cold. After all, she is the one who goes to work at 5 in the morning and I don't have to leave the house to work. Fortunately, this will be about the same time I want to take delivery of my new C7. Of the larger dealers that are doing supplier pricing how far in advance should I be ordering to get it around mid-April?

That depends a great deal on where you live (specifically if your C7 will ship by truck or rail).

The real question isn't when to order, it's if your wife has to go to work at 5am and you don't, why wouldn't her car be in the garage????

Do you have vehicle access to your back yard ? Carport would solve your problem.

I probably should have left it at, 'When's the time to order if I want to accept delivery mid-April?" I won't drive it until the roads are good and it starts to warm up a little, so why buy it till then? My wife is fine with her car being outside at that time. Happily, these time periods coincide.

Rent off site storage. I put both in a barn for $135 each.
As for timing your delivery....work with your dealer as to his allocation. If you want a Z51 at a low allocation dealer you might want to place it now!

If you wait that long, the 2016 models will probably be hitting the line in May. Just saying.

Why May, did something change from this year? This year the switchover was around August 10th. The difference, you miss most of summer (at least here in the east...).
