He lives in ontario so he will be paying 13% without a doubt. No way around it.
The point is, all the allotments for the Z06 will be spoken for by $ guys and people with family connections to dealers.
Someone off the street will NOT get an ordered Z06 with options for under $125k Canadian if at all...I would love to be proved wrong!

So a Canadian MSRP 2015 Z06 2LZ Convertible with a couple of goodies is closing in on $100K, then add the tax. So not to $125K.

Yes even though I am in Ontario and get to pay the 13% HST, I am #1 on a Toronto area dealer list, confirmed by e-mail with a $2K deposit, for a 2016 Z06 Convertible at MSRP. The Dealer sells 20 Vettes per year I believe, so I think and hope it will happen. We in Canada are a patient bunch as winter seems to take up almost half the year lately, so delivery in spring 2016 is not a problem for me and I hear that they will start building 2016's in August of 2015, so lots of production time until then in order to get this to happen.

Remember it is a Vert so it starts at $92,395 with the $1,800 freight and $100 air tax included.
Add $3,500 for 2LZ, $2,095 for Comp leather seats, $520 for DSOM paint, add $655 for Spectra Gray wheels, $105 for Battery Protection & $1,045 for carbon fiber dash and voila = $100,315.

Freight not included in Canada along with air... But you could save with 3rd party CF dash and center console...and then tax. It is too easy to keep below 120k...unless there is a significant jump in the price of the 2016 line. I think we can all be pretty confident that there will be a price increase at some point.

But that's what I just said... I am that guy off the street, who checked and made a phone call, not a $ guy and def no dealership connections....well below the 120k. I don't think it could be duplicated again though without a late allocation and stroke of luck getting ahead of the waiting lists.
It was a massive stroke of luck for you. And because the sales of even base models have been so throttled up there, the Z06s will be no easier to get in 2016 when he wants one. Every person now who is getting stood up will be pushed ahead to 2016 limited allotments so I would not be surprised if the 2016s are already locked down...like your one in a million shot anything can happen.
Please report when your car gets there.
Around southwestern ontario. You have a better chance of seeing a lambo then a c7.
Another note: you should also factor in the sliding Canadian dollar, based on the trends vs. the USD there will quite likely be an "adjustment" on Canadian MRSP by the time the 2016 go on sale...

Something you said though rings very true, this being the lack of Vettes in Southern Ontario and I was stunned to learn that David Chev who is closest to me only receives one Vette per year if lucky, yet they still keep their staff updated on training. I asked about this and they could not offer rhyme or reason, but to say they could easily sell 4-5 annually if supply was there. This is similar to many other 'Vette qualified' dealerships in Southern Ontario for some reason. I wonder if places like WN take that allotment away because they are bigger and GM figures if anyone wants a Vette they will travel to TO in any case.

Good to know. Thanks.
Anyone with a C7 know if that piece of trim surrounding the Z06 gauge cluster looks to be of paintable consistency. Doing DSOM might be a bit much but a darker contrasting orange color may work on the inside and on the stitching as well.
My thinking is that in the Dark Gray Z06 trim picture below, the gray to black contrast is not all that much, but adding some type of orange accent to that would make a statement and tie into the outside similar to how Adrenaline in a Torch Red car does.

The bet is simple. You will not get 2016 Z06 2LZ in 2016 spring for any less than $125,000 Cad out of your pocket... Taxes included...
If you do, I will pay for dinner for you and your wife any restaurant you want in Ontario and if I win you owe me a happy meal at mcdonalds.....

Waiting to jump into a 2016 Daytona Sunrise Z06 Vert with Black Top and Dark Gray interior. Not so easy to get this happening in 2015 here in Canada.
For those with Daytona Sunrise and Black or Gray interior, any thoughts about trying to bring some of that glorious orange into the inside. i.e. Orange stitching with the marker technique or some other aftermarket accents or painting of plastic dash piece etc.?

The leather absorbs the dye at a much slower rate than the thread so there is no need to worry about getting any dye on the interior pieces as you can easyily wipe it clean before it dries.
Having said that, all I did was dye about a 6+ inch section of thread at a time with a dye pen like that linked above. I then wiped the surrounding surface with a microfiber towel to pull the excess off, leaving just the thread colored. It really is a simple process, you just have to throw the fear out the window.
