You have a GREAT salesperson at a great dealer. My dealer would not go for it. He called it "stacking".
What is hard for me to understand why so many dealers differ, or why the dealerships feed the bull-$hit to customers, most important why the corporate structure of GM management allows this happen.
There needs to be consistency.
Yes, GM has a hot product and is creating new Corvette customers like myself, but all customers need to be treated the same.
I can only say I worked with one of the large forum dealers and the first condition for sale was using my Employee discount earned in my family.
Then I pulled the Trigger...in a Big Way
I know that you can't use your GM credit card money and the credit union discount together.
That seems to be wrong, in my mind they are independent of each other and the dollars earned should be available to use in any manner you wish.

He's right as far as I understand it......but it depends on which GM Card you have. If it's the old Legacy card that has unlimited 5% earnings, then you cannot use them. You'd have to convert to the new card and only get 20% of what you had before. If it's the new card, I understand you can use them with CU.
That's why on my deal I passed on my CU certificate and took another deal that was 9% off MSRP. It was only $137 more than CU but now I can use my GM Card points which is $1600......and hopin' for a round up incentive the first of the year to make it more.
To be perfectly clear, if you participate in any of the buying programs, employee, supplier, credit union, military, teacher, etc. your price is fixed. The dealer can't "throw another $1000 discount" on top of the program price. All of these deals are audited and the dealer will forgo their incentive payments if all the paperwork isn't exactly as these programs specify.
It is worth noting that any factory to dealer incentives must also be included as well as factory to customer but at the present time there are no such incentives.
my old GM card with the credit union discount, its the old one that only builds up to $500 per year. i used it 4 months ago for the family car ( over $ 2,000 ) i have a few hundred on it now. im at order code 3000.
Each program had different rules on which cars and additional discounts qualify. Even though supplier and CU are the same price each had different "stacking" rules. Employee is separate and allows more stacking.
Capital One was giving a $1000 discount toward purchase of GM, had to be purchased/delivered by 12/31/14. Offer was by invitation. I am not taking delivery by end of year, bummer.
4900 off of a 60k car is not such a great deal, considering MacMulkin in Nashua, NH is offering 10% off almost all non-Z06 C7's with zero haggling or games. (I'm not affiliated with them, just a satisfied customer)
Ken is right, MacMulkin was only a few $'s higher than supplier ( and I mean less than $200) If stacking isn't allowed with supplier, makes sense to go with MacMulkins generous discounts and stack on the others.
I just placed a deposit on an order for a Z51 'vert with Mike Furman at Criswell and he gave me the GM Supplier Price if I have an authorization code. My understanding is that the CU discount program authorization code will be acceptable to qualify for supplier pricing.
Now I just need to find a participating CU in my area. Does anyone know if Delta Community or Navy Federal CUs are participating members?

Go to the GM Credit Union Discount Program and they have a long list of Credit Unions that qualify for the program. Hopefully you are already a member of one on their list. After selecting the Credit Union on their list they will send you an authorization number. The discount is 8.6% of the MSRP. You do not have to use the Credit Union to finance your car.
GM says you can use the military and USAA discount together.
"$750 USAA Private Offer for eligible members,
If you’re a member of USAA and eligible for USAA insurance, take an extra $750 off the great discount you already get with the GM Military Discount. You can combine this great deal with most current offers to save even more.
When you’re ready to buy, just log on to gmmilitarydiscount.com, click on the “Program” link, and follow the prompts to obtain an authorization number. Print it and take it to a participating dealer to get your discount.
Click here to see if you are eligible to become a USAA member."

so what discounts can I use on top of the macmulkin's 9% MSRP discount?
I'm military and have USAA account???
edit: I just signed up and got my mil authorization number. is that a cash discount, or discount off MSRP? (not sure if it will beat 9% of macmulkin) then show proof i'm a USAA member for further discount?
