Any thoughts ! My 2015 noticing with the colder weather the shift from 1st to 2nd is not so smooth when car is cold . Once car is running it shifts smoother.

Yes, in 2014 also. I often shift 1 - 3 for smoother shifts when cold. Not a biggie. As you know, the car is setup to shift 1 - 4 anyway.
