!@#$#% Blew my motor.....
And now I'm stuck with my drivers side window half-way up. Or half-way down.. not sure which one Can it get any more depressing than that @ Saturday night?

the last time I used the words engine and motor together I thought my electrician was going to blow a gasket.
he immediately gave me about a 10 minutes lecture on how motors are run by electricity, while engines are run by some other form of fuel.
I asked him if there was any other obvious reason as to why I had him doing my electrical work, he just told me to be quiet and hold the light ..... is whistling being quiet
* * * as to the motor being half way up or down - - - I'd guess "UP";
'cause if the day was a total waste, it would have fallen the rest of the way down and shattered with any luck!

Make sure you have the door closed and then try putting the window up or down.

Sadly, you're right.
Of course, if I had a window motor fail (assuming that's what's wrong), I wouldn't start a thread about it, and EVEN if I were inclined (to start a thread), I would title it with something like...
"My window won't go up or down, troubleshoot help, please."
