Default Remove/Replace right dash trim pannel

Does anyone have a set of instructions on how to remove and replace the right dash trim panel (the one that has the climate control vents and controls attached) I am looking for a set of instructions like the ones that are in the "Master List of how to" above as in https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...h-tweeter.html

but I am looking for instructions for this panel as indicated by the arrow in the picture below:

I have a new pannel and it looks like it goes in with clips, as most panels do; but three of the clips have a threaded area that looks like something is screwed on those clips. Before it gets pulled off I would like to understand the purpose of those three screw holes

Don't know about the panel, but where did you get the drawing?

Isn't there an airbag back there? Could those be to mount the airbag?

brother, that should be where the air bag comes out of. make sure the new piece is approved to go in front of air bag and will not harm someone if it goes off. i wouldn't mess with it...

pkadams: This is a complicated procedure that I've helped a handful of people with.

If you still need help with this, let me know. It's silly the amount of removal takes place for this one piece replacement.

Default passenger trim panel

Here is a pic of the backside of the passenger trim panel. I have read that it is the trim screw adjacent to the center console that require access through the center console.

Note, I have only read this but I have not actually read any writeup on how much work or how to get access to the difficult console side screw.

I am thinking about removing/replacing the passenger trim panel above the glove box also but waiting/searching for some info and instructions.

I'll just make a How-To of it since I've sent it out about a half-dozen times to folks.

Look for it tomorrow. It begins with removing the center console, just so you're prepared.

Default passenger trim panel

The waiting for instructions is suspenseful. The wait probably is an indication of the difficulty of replacing this passenger trim panel.

No, my fault - ended up in the hospital again because my luck is always the best. If it makes you feel any better, I actually thought about this the next day and said "sh**, I needed to do that" but my files are on this terminal.

Will do it right now, for real this time!

Thanks for your patience - here's the start of the battle.

Starts with removing the center tray (so the same first steps to replace the shifter):

Attachment 48369471

Attachment 48369472

Attachment 48369473

See my walk-through here for better (real) pics.

Next part coming up...

Lots of fun for one panel, eh?

I'll make a formal DIY out of this now, but I wanted to put all the info here ASAP.

Best of luck!

I've been told by the several people that I've helped with it that it takes around 3 to 5 hours total depending on how familiar you are with the dis-assembly, etc.

Indeed perfect for a leisurely rainy day.
