Default Trading in '14 for '15?

Just curious about how many people have traded in a 2014 C7 for a 2015 model (Stingray or Z06).

I just ordered a 2015. Reason for change: I wanted the 8-speed auto.

Is your '14 an automatic? Unless you're making other changes with the '15 vs. your '14 those are going to be two very expensive gears.

Nope; a stick. And thanks for the value judgment.

No value judgment whatsoever, just an observation.

I guess if you wanted the auto vs. the manual you had bad enough than the trade was worth it.

I was going to wait for the 2015 and the eight speed auto, but I got an amazing deal on my late 2014 A6 C7 vert (about $8,000.00 off sticker). I figured I would have to burn thousands of miles of gasoline to make up whatever difference those two extra gears mean in terms of gas mileage...

Plus, I got several extra months of driving a dream machine...

I traded my 14 for a 15 because I could buy it at the credit union discount price and the trade in value of my car was quite high. I loved my 14 but my 15 is even better.

Not sure how the 15 is any better. (I would never drive anything but a manual Corvette). PDR is really only difference. 15 doesn't have HD radio.

Am I missing something?

Improved rev matching on the 2015 manual over the 2014 manual.

I guarantee that in a blind testing, virtually no one would be able to discern a difference in rev matching. One of those upgrades that is meant to sound somewhat enticing without any true substance.

I could not imagine anyone trading a 14 for a 15 for "improved" rev matching.

It's a little early for me to trade, but once there becomes a difference that is very obvious to the average person I'll trade. My manual Blade Silver coupe is already 3LT(red int) so from now on manual, coupe, and 3Lt is the only "given," leaving outer color--as the real reason good enough to trade.

i took the first vert i could get my hands on, it had to be red or white, i had a great time with the car this past season, now i traded up for what i really wanted when i read all about the new c7. i went from a non-z51 vert a6 to a z51vert a8 PRD, that to me was worth the $ 8,000 i needed to trade up. and dont forget the 6,100 miles i used on the 2014.

I'm glad to hear everyone is happy with their 2014/2015 Corvette's. I wish I could say the same thing about my 6 week old 2015.

That's the reason I still own my 2015.

Wonder what the trade-in dollars the 2014s are garnering, without the shell-game of over-inflated trade-in numbers against the 2015?
