No wasnt being sarcastic at all. I was using the $85 reference you posted and going to see what I could find for that....I assumed you were looking for about $100 per piece since you referenced the $85 price point of the splitter. You read too much into it.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps I did read to much into the post..my apologies....Stephen.
Yes, you are on track.....$200 to $250 is reasonable...in my mind...$500 to $700 is a unreasonable amount.
The OEM front splitter is plastic, all of the aftermarket splitters out there are fiberglass of CF. Pouring a plastic into a mold and mass producing a part is a lot less expensive than making it out of fiberglass. Until someone mass produces side skirts out of plastic fiberglass and CF skirts are going to cost in the +$500 range. As a business owner myself I understand the time and cost to produce certain items that will not sell a ton of. If the manufacturer is not going to make money and recover the costs then why are they even going to bother making it in the first place. Then we will all sit here and bitch and moan that no one is making any cool parts for our cars.
I have the ACS Side skirts and accepted the price for what it was. I have a lot of miles on them and they are not showing signs of wear. I have an OEM front splitter on order because I think that is going to take more abuse. I will paint it then clear bra it.
first, i don't know where you can get the front splitter for $85. Some vendors lower the price to the $90's, but with shipping, its over $100, sometimes well over. I just bought mine last night for $105 shipped. If you think GM is going to sell the rocker panels for $200 for a set, i really think you're way off. Just because the front is $100, doesn't mean the 2 sides will be $100 each. The front is an easy mold, the sides significantly harder, so the price will probably reflect that. I'm waiting for my ACS zero7 side skirts to arrive from RPI, and although $750 was a bit steep, i know the expense that goes in to making them... The base price was a little less than $500 primed, but i chose carbon flash to match so it jacked up the price. That was my choice, but the $500 price tag for the parts themselves isn't that bad....
and don't forget, these thing are a preference. No one needs them, they want them... I can't imagine getting the front splitter, and both rocker skirts for $300... so you may go a long time without them.

exactly, $105 shipped. Like i said, some add a few dollars to shipping to offset being lower in price to draw you in. I highly doubt the rockers will be $210 shipped for the pair....
They took off $22 of freight but charged you $43 in shipping?? Take from one side and give in the other...
PS i was looking at prices last night for the Z06 grill and one place had it for dirt cheap, then they were charging $140 for shipping!!!!!! Whats that saying about being too good to be true??

I got the WeaponX splitter and RPI Z06 style skirts all painted in carbon flash. The painting is a hefty expense too. I was all in for about $1050 shipped for it all painted fiberglass in carbon flash metallic. I think the side skirts from GM will be about $200 per side but we shall see and there was no sarcasm in my question earlier just asking. No harm no foul.

The $105.00 price did not bother me. The part was listed as $84.87 or so, and the GMpartsonline was very upfront about the shipping and total price. They were totally transparent with the customer, and I don't really care how they worked out the price. Bottom line, Yes it was $85.00 and I did expect to pay shipping. Many vendors will inflate the shipping fees as shipping has become a "big" source for extra profits. No different when you buy a new C7, most dealers charge a doc fee to handle the paperwork. I have only seen 1 or 2 dealers charge nothing which is very rare like a MacMulkin, and others based in Florida as high as $900 for doc fees for completing paperwork for the sale.
So it's what the consumer wants to pay. Some people don't care what they pay, others like myself....do.
Under 2015 Corvette Exterior options list, there's an option called:
"Rocker Panel Molding" for $2485.
If you click on the description:
Rocker Panel Molding
This Rocker Panel Molding is the next iteration in ground effects on Stingray and stands apart with head-turning good looks. Paint to match.
I wish there was a picture. Can anyone post a picture of this very option on the car?

Check out these side skirts on my car.
Z06 Style Side Skirts from c7carbon.com.......these are fiberlglass, come pre-primed for painting. I painted mine Carbon Mist Metallic, with a high gloss clear coat....$389.00 for the set delivered to my door. Buying these save you over $2000 from the GM part.
Contact: Andwar at c7carbon.com This price point is unbeatable by any aftermarket vendor.
On my BMW, I was able to get front spoiler, rear spoiler, and side skirts for ~1,500 and they were all carbon fiber as well. They came from China, but I owned them for 4 years and had 0 issues.
With that in mind, that's why I am waiting as well. 105 is a great price for the plastic front splitter from GM.

How much did the painting cost? Did a dealer, paint shop, friend, or who do the painting?

Blue Demon:
I painted the side splitters myself.
I used an automotive primer over the already primed side skirts for an extra coat.
Then I bought a spray can of Rust-Oleum Carbon Mist Metallic paint and a can of automotive Rust-Oleum Clear Coat High Gloss all at Home Depot.
Total cost to paint about $20.00.
FYI:
When using the Carbon Mist Metallic paint, you need to start spraying before the paint hits the side skirts and top spraying after the end of the side skirt. Because of the metallic particles in the paint, if you start or stop the spray directly over the side skirts, the spray will leave a heavier amount of metallic on the surface. You want a nice even coat of Carbon Metallic on the surface. Worked great, just have patience and apply sparingly and apply a few coats. Then you don't have runs or buildup. It's a great DIY project. Oh yes, I also bought a few sheets of dry/wet sand paper Grade 2000 and lightly sanded the primer before applying the Carbon Mist Metallic paint.
P.S. I bought the c7carbon.com GTX Z06 Style Side Skirts in Fiberglass. They gave me a forum price of $389.00 shipped for the set. Contact "Andwar" at www.c7carbon.com I suggest you call him personally. The side skirts are shipped from San Diego, CA.

Southern auto parts, a poster on this site, have nice side skirts for about $250 with shipping....anyone have them and like the install process ?

You must be mistaken as I have not found any one vendor that sells an aftermarket set of rocker panel "side skirts" for $250.00 shipped for a set.
I have done lots of research ref "side skirts" for a C7, both CF and non-CF products.
I did find that c7carbon.com has the most competitive pricing on their GTX Z06 Style Fiberglass pre-primed side skirts.
While the advertised price on their website is higher than what I personally paid, I have made many suggestions to call c7carbon direct and speak with Andwar. He offered special pricing as a Corvette Forum member for $389.00 shipped and delivered to my front door, via UPS from San Diego, CA.
I strongly feel that these side skirts offer the best bang for the buck, for those that might want to paint the skirts a color of their choice.
It would howwever be helpful for you post a link to verify just what you are seeing or talking about, as the $250 price point shipped as you posted, is highly questionable. Please present the facts to your post.

Found these on eBay for $319 for the set plus $69 for shipping. They come unfinished. Maybe spray them with Plasti-Dip? That is the least expensive set I could find. Personally, I would like to see them installed before considering purchasing.
