Mine too. After I got it home the garage smelled like new leather, every time I went in from the house. It's really dissipated a lot, but I still can smell it when I get in the car.
The smell on my C7 wasn't fantastic also.It wasn't the usual smell that you get from an average new car.Definitely heavy chemical. It definitely faded after A couple months. Now I
Don't smell anything.
I am doing everything I know to preserve the "new car smell" which to me is sublime! I leave the windows closed - car stays in the garage - never carry hot food (pizza, wings, chinese etc.) inside, and if anybody tries to smoke in the car it's time to make arrangements at the funeral parlor!!!!
took delivery of 2015 stingray 2 months ago still has a very bad interior smell. Anyone else with same problem? remedy?
The smell was shocking to me - It wasn't the "normal New Car Smell" - looking thru the threads, several people commented about the adhesives and manufacturing materials -
6 months later - the smell is almost entirely gone - I suspect once the hot weather returns, I will once again be greeted with the "new corvette aroma" AHHHHHHH....Memories .....
Yup my 3LT smells great, my wife who has super human smell powers due to pregnancy couldn't even stand near the new 2LT's in the dealer showroom because of the glue smell. The 3LT was just bearable for her sensitive nostrils on the first day and I just left the top off in the garage overnight and she said the smell was much more agreeable.
Now that I have had her for 2 months the smell is only leather...and burnt rubber
Had plenty of new cars with that new car smell we love. This is not that smell. Definitely smells more like liquid nails than that new shower curtain smell we associate with new cars.
Plenty of new cars in my past here too, and agree the C7 smell is different, but it's slowly going away, and I find I'm smiling too much to notice it after driving awhile.
