I know the best option is to NOT wear one. However living in NJ I know the police are constantly looking for stuff like this. I may have to bite the bullet and put one on my 15 Z51. It's not a daily driver so I will see if I can get away with not having one. If I get pulled over more than once I'll put it on. I did a quick search but didn't see too many options.
I remember on the C6 they had a electric motor that hid the front plate. I think I remember reading that wasn't a great option thought because it was so low some plates were ripped off. Can anyone point me in the right direction if I had to run one. Thanks
I live in Southern California but don't have a front license plate installed yet; however, if/when I have to have one, I will be using the Corvette Aero Plate. I think it is aesthetically the best looking frame, even thought it was not meant to be license plate holder.

Here is what I did. Aero plate is not bad, but you will see that it completely covers over 1/3 of the air flow to the radiator. So, we don't want to lose that much cooling. You can take the aero plate and cut most of it away with a jib saw. Just template right up to where the license plate screws on. This opens up air flow on all four sides, and bend the plate to match the bend of the front end. Then if you want to go one step further, you can drill two small holes in your plate where you can access a Philips screw driver to get at the pins that hold the bracket to the grill. So you can literally attach and remove the whole assembly in about one minute:
Aero Panel is the best-looking. It's designed not to obstruct the flow of air through the grille. Cutting it defeats that - and I think it looks worse just to have a bare plate stuck on the front. I'm mounting my plate on the aero panel and enclosing it in a flexible black frame that fits around the edges. I think it will look good!

Nice, this is probably the best option for CA. My plan is to run without one, but have the plate/bracket in the cargo area.

That is what I have and I have not had any cooling issues, even in 100+ degree Texas summer:
The link is to the carbon flash version, which you can order as a dealer-installed option. The car comes with the aero bracket in plain black as standard equipment.
I like top flights products also! I guess when it comes time I have a few options. But am I understanding this correctly?? GM gives us the aero plate mount?? However there is an additional 15$ plate holder ??

Oh ok I'd rather just have the plain black one anyway. Thanks !!

Even the sales people are confused. You get the aero mount in black, standard. You can get it in optional carbon flash for $160 MSRP.
You can get a different optional front plate mount for $15 MSRP. It's about the size of the plate, smaller than the aero, but a bit dorky as it sits away from the grill.

So your suggestion would be to just use the stock aero plate that comes with the car , correct?

Anybody have a picture of this 15 dollar option and how it sits on the car?
