Default Break-in miles

I'll be picking up my C7 this Saturday and it will have almost 1,000 miles by the time I reach home.
My question is - Is it to early to use the cylinder deactivation mode and or, should I change modes from time to time during this important break in period. I assume I should vary my rpms as much as possible.

Rather not have opinions, just recommendations from those who are in a position to "know". Thanks in advance

You can use the cylinder deactivation during break-in. No reason to change modes unless you want to.

Vary RPM's and speed. Make lots of stops to let the masses admire your new 'Vette.

Yes, vary RPM and speed and do not take it above 4500 RPM for the first 500 miles. Then schedule an appointment for your first oil change if you have Z51. It should be free and they should use Mobil 1.

I can't speak to cylinder deactivation but my guess is it's in the manual which can be found on-line.

Have a safe trip home!

Hmmm...In Florida and 1000 miles home...Kerbeck? If so, keep your eyes on the weather in Jersey Delaware and Maryland.

Don't overthink this… Read the manual , keep it under 4000 for the first 500 miles and enjoy the car

many people didn't break in this engine to the letter and they're doing fine…
