Default GM parts number for Mobil 1 oil cap ?

With so many part numbers out there, for those who changed their Dexos oil cap to Mobil 1, which GM part number are you using?

Z51 and non-Z51 use two different oil caps.

What do the non-Z51s use? Mine is Z51 and says the dreaded: Dexos
(Will never use semi-synthetic...ever.)

Dexos is a specification, not a product. There are both semi-synthetics and full synthetics that are Dexos Certified.

I hear ya on that. I never said I wanted 'only' Mobil 1. I want FULL synthetic. Yes, that can be Dexos-specific. But we do get Mobil 1.

I see several folks are using 12593356. They are Z06's and Z51's.

I believe that the Mobil 1 cap is actually a decal that you put on your cap.

Don't know where to find it for sale....

I just ordered one for my Z51. For those with a dry sump engine, the reservoir cap is for a 2013 C6 used on both Chevs and Cads. It's an AC Delco FC215 (#12583570). Check one out on EBay. Mine is costing me $18.32.

Which is the correct cap part number for the Z51?
I've seen 12593356. FC221
and 12583570. FC215
Both listed in this thread.

part number 12583570 list replacement for Cadillac and Corvette

Found an online vendor selling them for $16.81, plus they show a color picture of what you are getting. C7 is not listed, but later model C6's with dry sump is.

I understand GM has now directed Mobil1 be used in both 'base' and Z51's. Makes this issue moot.

I have a positive balance on PayPal so I ordered one. I'll post if it fits or not.
