Default First phase of one bucket list item completed. Now the waiting starts!

Hi everyone!

I received some great news from Hendrick Chevrolet in Merriam, Kansas today! My order for a LB, 1LT, 7spd manual coupe has been accepted by GM! According to the Corvette specialist, if all goes according to plan, the car will be here by mid March! The wait is probably going to be excruciating!

I have always considered that owning a car like a Corvette to be very special and I can't wait to be an official member of this exclusive club come Spring!

Take care!

The wait is part of the fun...you'll spend countless hours on this forum reading everything you can - and likely start ordering your mod parts too.

The hardest part for me was after I knew my C7 actually existed in other than bins of various parts. That 5 weeks of waiting after I knew it was actually built was the really hard part!

At least your wait is during the cold winter months when it's not as much fun to drive the car as it would be in the summer. This is the best time of year to order a car! I remember back in 98 when I ordered a brand new 98 Firebird Formula, I had to wait 11 weeks to get it, but I ordered it in January, and when it arrived in April it ended up being the first week that year when there was no salt and snow left on the roads, so the timing was perfect! So just think of it that way and the wait won't seem so bad!

Yes, I took a test drive back in October and could have ordered it in November, but knew that was not a good idea for the Kansas City area this time of year!

Congrats to you. I'm in the same class with you. Mike Furman at Criswell sent me an email Friday to let me know my Laguna Blue/Black/Brownstone Z51 3LT M7 Vert order got picked up on Friday. Looks like a TPW of 2/9/15 and mid March museum delivery for me.

Like others have posted - the wait is a big part of the experience and just adds to the excitement. I know what you are feeling!

Hi! My Corvette specialist was Don Ross, very nice gentleman! I read some great reviews about him on a dealer rating site. The president of a local KC club recommend Hendrick to me last year when I started looking for a C7.

Congrats and you're right. It is an very special car and an exclusive club. Make sure you get someone to show you the secret handshake after you get your car.

Now that is customer service!!!

I was told by Kerbeck that I had to wait until Tuesday if my order will be picked up. Glad to hear other dealers will call or email after the get allocations on Thursdays.

Congratulations on your order being accepted!!!

Congrats. Since you have time consider what you may need. Since a 7 speed I'd sugget considering a Skip Shift Eliminator. Only $25 and worth it.
Here is a PDF of my install. Pretty easy and this has pics of jacking up the Vette as well:

At the end, more ideas!

You picked a great color, LB really pops in the sun. LB does not blend in with the other white, black and silver cars on the road. Don't forget to wave now that your in the club.

Don IS a great guy-he sits next to Jon Bivens! I would have recommended Hendricks to you as well.
