Default ZO6 question

Can anyone tell me the purpose for the front plastic fender extension on the ZO6, as opposed to making the flair all fiberglass?

If it is really that good or functional, why wouldn't GM use it on the C7-R?

I know it's probably a dumb question, but it appears to me that GM said at production time, Oh, S*** we forgot something!

Just my 2 cents!

Z06, not ZO6.

Jake is probably correct, it was done to reduce cost.

Yes ,I get that........but if you are already making a new flared fender why not finish it and use a flare?

It is not the same as the Stingray fender.

I think it's to save the cost of making a new front fascia. So the new fender has to narrow in the front to match the fascia.

Love the car! That's the only thing on the car, in my opinion, looks cheap!.

I'll see if they correct that in 2016.
