Check your garage door manual. Mine would not link from the remote and I had to push a button on the garage door controller/motor box to get the link up and it worked on two doors.
I have a chamberlain, you need to get a homelink repeater kit, it comes with its own remote and a homelink repeater that plugs in to any 120v plug. Then you just hold the remote up to your vehicle remote and push them both at the same time. If the this doesn't work, try first hold the learn button first and then repeat the previous steps. Good Luck.
I had to use the second option listed in the owner's manual to get my garage door to sync up with the Homelink button. My opener uses "rolling codes" so I had to hit a button on the opener and have the Homelink learn my system. Not a big deal.
I have a genie opener and had too many remotes linked to it. When I tried to link the car, the outside remote would need to be relinked. When I tried to relink the outside remote the car stopped working. I thought I must be doing something wrong. There is a limit of 5 or so remotes. If you have too many, you need to reset the opener and reprogram up to the limit.
Have same garage door opener & had same problem. Hold the purple memory button on back of your garage door opener until it flashes, then go to your car and go through the memory setup for your visor HomeLink described in your owners manual. That's all it took.
I am getting a new garage door opener and the installer told me the home link may not work due to the newer technology with the opener. I am getting a Liftmaster 8355 does anyone have this opener? If so did your car link to it?
Thanks,
Eric
If you go on home link website they'll tell you compatibility. When I put in 2015 corvette and lift master 8355 up, it comes up with this video, so it should be good to go. http://homelink.com/program/video

Tried 3 times failed 3 times it's going to have to wait until I remember to park the car in a different place to be able to push the button on the opener.
Had that same problem with a new miata I had after many attempts finally got it right.
I had to reprogram all three of my remotes to get it to work in the end, it can wait, I don't need a built in that badly.

Thanks, I actually sent them an email and they responded that I am good to go.
