I drive my Stingray everyday and the weather here in Georgia has been cold in the morning where the windows need scraped and defrosted (my therapy sessions are going well......).
I believe immediately about the 8th wire up on the rear lid was bad so I have a bar across the window that does not defrost. I wonder it this is common? It is a pain but I would not pull the back glass just for this. Next time I will remember to take a picture (likely tomorrow morning) so that the dealer can see it and note it. The rest of the rear window clears quickly.
At 1000 miles now that is the only issue other than me bumping the rear hatch open about 1 out of 6 to 10 times getting in. I asked my engineer friend at the factory to look at putting a delay on the button so that a slight brush would not open the rear hatch.

That's going to be a glass replacement and probably pretty expensive warranty repair.
I wonder if the dealer will replace the entire glass. Out of warranty I would certainly use a repair kit and I would rather have the dealer repair the line rather than replace the entire hatch window possibly causing new issues down the road.

Since you know which wire is broken, just take the vehicle in and let them test it - I believe they can put some sort of tester on it and confirm that there is no power to that wire. In any case, you might see what they can do to fix it and what that would involve.
