Rattle....Ventalation??
Does anyone know what the rattle is coming from the front dash area?
Sounds like it is in the Ventalation.
Do not hear it on bumpy roads. Turn the heat and fans off and on but it is still there.
It rattles for a few seconds and then stops.

There have been some threads about a rattle caused by the vane assembly in the vents that allow you to direct the airflow. Seems like the parts have too much clearance where they fit together or something like that.

"On my C7 the air vent handle on the drivers side middle vent was rattling on rougher roads. The handle was loose on the plastic vent bar. Took a thin feeler gauge at side a small piece of paper under the handle. Stopped the rattle. When going down the road when the rattle starts put your hand on the vent handles to see if it stops the rattle."
I used search terms dash, rattle, air, vent. There were several threads.
