I am in discussion with a couple dealers about ordering a car in March. I was just told the price on the Coupes is going up $1000. Can anyone confirm the effective date of the increase?

I have not heard that, but it would not surprise me. There usually is one or more price increases during the model year.
Hard to tell if this is a sales tactic or truth. I haven't heard anything solid regarding this, but pretty much every year, dealers start saying it. Also, keep in mind that whenever there is a price increase, that full amount may not be reflected on your negotiated price. In other words, a supplier discount might be greater due to the increase, thus minimizing the increase differential. The C7's are obviously very popular, but there are also plenty sitting around on dealers' lots right now. There was already an increase mid year in 2014, not sure why there would be another one yet - but hell if I know for sure.
Yes, it was just announced today. All coupes, Stingray and Z06, have had a $1,000 price increase to the base price.
If you have a car on order prior to today (with an order number) you are price protected. However, if you make any changes to your order after today, you will no longer be price protected.

Convertibles remained the same.

Thanks for the info Dave, I think $1,000 is not too bad of an increase, probably will not stop anyone from purchasing the best corvette ever.

What if you're ordering today? The price increase is not showing up GM CU site when I build one.

Dave - So if your vehicle was built prior to 2/2 (last week), even though not delivered to dealer, you are price protected?
Does that mean supplier pricing/invoice will increase or is it just MSRP?

It doesn't have to be built it only has to be ordered. I think it has to be marked as retail sold and not stock on the work order though. I'm not positive it's those exact words but definitely something like that.

As long as you have an order number prior to today, then you are OK.
MSRP goes up $1,000, invoice, supplier, employee all go up their normal percentage of MSRP.
