A note to my past, current and future customers
I started this business when I was a copilot at a major airline and that airline went bankrupt and cut my pay in half back in 2005. I've been a vendor here for almost 10 years now, but haven't been very active.
In the last few years, we have recovered most of our pay and I also recently upgraded to Captain, and now the flying is much more lucrative than the powdercoating.
I am still coating, and will keep coating. I am however, also, not going to be advertising anymore, as I welcome a reduction in business.
My sponsorship here will end on February 28th, where they will close my threads and delete my "corvette pilot" username.
You can always find me at my website www.thepowdercoater.com, email me mike@thepowdercoater.com or call me at 678-357-5844
thanks for all the support everyone here has shown me over the years!!!!!!!!

Hope you always have safe flying, Mike. I've watched your biz grow and you help out countless numbers of owners here on CF. Good luck and good flying!

I'm sure you will still be recommended by many!! sucks though you can't keep your user name and just remove the supporting vendor tag. Create another user name with mikethecoater so you'll still be known!! good luck

Mike -
The best of luck to you. Like many others here, you powder coated a set of calipers on my C6 and they are still beautiful. I've sold the car but I still see the car. You do great work and I'm happy to refer others to you!

Reminder:
Removing a vendor's user name and threads is standard practice. TO do otherwise would allow continued advertising without paying for the privilege. Mike (just like other former vendors) is welcome to create a new user name.
Complaints, Suggestions & Questions
If you have suggestions for the improvement of the Forum, questions or criticism of the Forum or its moderation, you are welcome to PM or e-mail a moderator. Please do not use an open thread for such messages, however.
That would include, but is not limited to discussions about who has been banned and why.
The work on the Forum's volunteer moderators is difficult enough without having folks calling them out in open threads.

Vendors have always been given the chance to have 2 user names unlike regular members so they can post if they decide to stop being vendors.
This is NOT new.
apparently Mike knows this...

what would suck is if he didn't have a user name and a vendor name.....those of us who have been here a long time know who Mike is and what he does.
we always encourage people who become vendors to adopt a vendor name for this very reason.
if you can't see the reason why then I can't help ya.

Holy crap, all I'm saying is it sucks he has to lose his pretty cool "corvette pilot" screen name instead of just being able to remove the supporting vendor icon. He knew the rules, but it still can suck without bashing!!! Sorry for hitting a touchy subject....
what sucks exactly? removing his vendor name?

thanks all! No worries. Unfortunately though, I never thought of creating a 2nd user name back in the day. I was a regular member and corvette owner here before I started my business.
