Default The new Ferrari 488 looks very familiar...

Those wheels...those headlights...Looks like the rumoured Zora ZR-1. I also think the '72 Dino is a total ripoff of the '68 Corvette coupe. Same body, different headlights and engine location.

Do you really think that Ferrari has to copy anything?

Those look like the same lights the 458 had. Not sure what you think you are seeing OP.

OMG...do people understand that "trends" in styling occur and that's why you see similarities between brands. This has happened for decades upon decades. They arent copying anyone...designers are car lovers, they look to the world for inspiration and their likes and dislikes end up in some way in the car they design.

With the new 488...what I see is 458 and Laferrari combined.

All I know is I wish I had one. That's a beautiful machine. Ferrari is by far my favorite car maker. I'm jealous of you guys/gals that have one. I looked at the 360 before ordering the C7. Maintanence costs eventually swayed me towards the C7.

Look at the Dino. Same back window/flying buttresses, same tail lights, and split bumper. Very similar roof, Similar profile. And you can't deny the fact that the 488 has the identical wheels and headlights as the new Corvette. These are just observations. Can't you see what I'm seeing? Every time I bring my '68 to my local Cars and Coffee, I park next the Dino. He gets upset, when I point out the similarities. What's with you Ferrari guys?

I agree there are similarities. In both examples. The Ferraris just do it better.

I think this is an intersting post, a lot more interesting that the "what license plate frame do you think I should get" post, or where I should mount my curb alert sensor. CURB ALERT...can you imagine?

Waaaah I really wanted a Ferrari, but I'm stuck with a Corvette WAAAaaaaaaa. I should hope Ferrari does it a little better considering it's a handmade car from a boutique factory. (and it costs a LOT of money) I'm simply saying that the Ferrari design department seems to have its eye on a certain car.

I make this same argument with a buddy of mine who is a big Ferrari guy. He always thinks everyone is copying Ferrari. He said it about the C7 and just recently the Ford GT.

I see updated styling to the 458, which hit the market years before the C7.

Your accusation of Ferrari ripping off the C7 is completely retarded.

no ******** I always thought about that. When the car 1st came out, I had serious trouble discerning the two from each other on the highway when it was going in the opp direction until it got very close.

A Ferrari owner would never say "That's completely retarded". They are too sophisticated for that language.
