Default C7 z06

So I go downtown to the car show and took some pics of this awesome Z06. The problem however is the cheap looking rear spoiler! This thing is a piece of smoked plastic, very cheap looking!! Adjustable or not,it should be made from carbon fiber IMO

To me it is more ugly than cheap. Love the car but hate the looks of that spoiler.

Yikes! I'll take it even with the spoiler! I don't think the tail light lenses look attractive in those pictures, although I do like the clear look on most others that I have seen.

Couldn't agree more. It may be spot on from a functional standpoint, but cheap looking from a visual one. I understand this could be a tough balance, but I seriously doubt that even 90% of the Z06 owners who get the Z07 package will ever push their cars hard enough to benefit from that spoiler over a more aesthetic one.

I'd still trade cars though

I dare them to put a plastic spoiler on a plastic car. The nerve of those GM engineers.

I thought it was clear so the driver could see through it. That would be a tough trick with carbon fiber.

Exactly, it's fully functional and clear for visibility.

I agree. While the C7s are nice Cars, this generation has brought in a whole load of crappy looking spoilers/wings. Of course, this is only my very humble opinion.

I too have posted on here several times how stupid that rear spoiler looks. It's too big for the car and makes it look like a clown car from the rear. I absolutely hate it. It looks ridiculous. The rest of the car is badass!

It's not my favorite part on the car either but I guess it does the job it is designed for.

I couldn't disagree more I think it looks great and a lot of C7 owners are looking to switch to that style of spoiler aftermarket. The Z06 is an aggressive car and it has an aggressive spoiler. Different opinions for different people that is what makes the world go around.

They added more plastic and lines to an already overly busy design... The car is downright ugly.

You are entitled to your opinion but you are the first person I have ever heard call the new Z ugly.

Of course looks are subjective but nothing on the car flows... Plastic tacked everywhere. I've heard several others who share my opinion as well.

True. Without a clear section there would be no visibility in the rear view mirror at all. This Z06, unlike previous models, is designed solely for functionality and the track, not for how it looks on the street..
Have you looked at the race cars?

The C7R has body extensions and all kinds of stuff stuck all over it...including a big wing

If you don't like the way it looks, just buy the level 1 aero package..and save $8000 too.

I guess I am the odd one. I have the Z07 and love it. Velocity Yellow and black and bad.

I agree the spoiler is horrible. Not only does it look bad but you can adjust it (z07 option I believe) and to do that you loosen the screws to do so. Loosen screws to manually adjust a 85K car? That sounds cheap to me. Other then that I LOVE the look of the new Z06.

Oh and vert Z06? That should be a sin!
