Looking ahead to Spring Mountain in April, I may experiment with some batting gloves but they really aren't a solution for everyday driving.
The sueded wheel solves this. This was obvious to me at Spring Mountain, so I ordered one along with the sueded shift ****. Very nice feel and very grippy.

I thought the C5 wheel was perfect, nice and beefy and a round cross-section that fit the hand. The C6 was thinner, with an oblong cross-section that never felt quite right.
I like the idea behind the C7 wheel bulges at 10 and 2, but I drive at 9 and 3, so they are in the wrong place for me.
