I have had my C6 for 8 years now and I am thinking of possibly buying a new C7. Local dealers don't seem to know much about the options available, so I am asking here. Sorry if this is posted somewhere, I just haven't found it.
What are the DIFFERENCES that you get when you opt for a 2LT as opposed to a 1LT? And the same question if you upgrade to a 3LT instead of a 2LT. As I wrote, I am looking for the differences other than a larger price.

if your local dealer can't tell you about the trims and options a year and a half after the C7 first started hitting the streets, i doubt they even have an allocation to order you a car in the first place.
might want to start making plans to purchase elsewhere in addition to the aforementioned reference to using the chevrolet site as your guide.
What Ammo posted is great. For me it boiled down to two options: the HUD and heated/vented seats. Everything I've read about the HUD indicates it's a marvel of technology, and I live in an area that gets all four seasons with vigor, so to be able to battle that with the seats was a no-brainer.
The other ancillary benefits of the 2LT that I found most beneficial were the auto-dimming mirror (seriously, Chevy can't even put an auto-dimming rearview in the 1LT?!?), seat memory for ease of getting in and out of this particularly low-slung vehicle, and adjustable seat side bolsters.
If your C6 has lasted you 8 years and you plan for the C7 to last you close to the same, I think you would be very happy opting for the 2LT with its conveniences.
The HUD is great but I wouldn't get too excited about the heated/cooled seats. The heated function, anyway. There are several threads on the poor performance of these due to the design that incorporates additional layers or something for the cooling function to work better at the sacrifice of the heating. Those of us who have/had C6's as well can verify that claim...

Thanks for all that info, guys. That is exactly what I was looking for. I ordered my C6 with the 2LT package, and it had everything I wanted except a HUD. I just installed one myself, so everything is complete.
In my location, the Chevy dealers are not all that informed and they really won't deal with you much on prices, so I have already planned on looking elsewhere. I wish I could find an inventory locator that is nation wide.
Like you I have been looking very hard at the C7. My C6 is a 3LT trim, and it looks like the C7's 2LT has the same things plus a couple more items. As far as I can see the 3LT does have the nicest interior that I do like, but the price difference is quite a bit just for me to get the interior. So, I'll stick with the 2LT.............that is if I can get the Wifey to cut lose of our C6.
Vettepartz, one thing to note (and you are probably already aware) is that you won't be able to get an aftermarket HUD on the C7 without some significant surgery on the dash. The 1LT is just not set up to allow for an easy/drop-in aftermarket HUD.
