As I've mentioned in other threads, I am a first time Corvette owner which I just picked up last Saturday. Actually this is my first sports car as I've been a lifelong motorcycle addict until now.
I've been reading a lot on the forum in order to pick up what I can, but it seems worth asking this basic newbie question. Which mods are generally recommended as well worth doing to an otherwise stock 1LT C7 with NPP exhaust? I'm planning on the Z51 sway bar upgrade, Spiegler brake lines and the sound deadening mods. Other than appearance stuff should I be considering any thing else to make the car work up to its stock potential? Thanks.
curb alert - mounts with hand tools
side skirts, never mind the look, they protect whole side of the car great
gm splashguards
tint - see your state laws
clay, polish and seal - may products that work great by hand
lloyds mats both back and front

I picked mine up a day before you did (Friday) and unlike my previous C6 I don't have even a moderate list of must-haves. I blacked out the grill with tape, which I like better since that's about the only chrome piece on the entire car and doesn't fit the blacked-out motif.
I might buy a Lloyd's cargo mat, especially if it replaces the stock carpet that makes battery access more difficult. The cargo mat on my C6 fit over the stock carpet. Can anyone answer this?
Other than these two items I am pressed to think of a way to improve the car. I'm sure I'll think of more, however.
Here's my list:
Blacking out the grille (or swapping with z06 grille)
Adjusting the lowering bolts
Splash guards
Clay bar and sealant of your choice (I like Zaino)
CAGS eliminator

First mod should be side skirts and GM splash guards to stop debris from marking up the rocker panels. If you have a standard shift then get a CAGS eliminator. Others your option but I have over 20 and this install PDF of the side skirts lists the others at the end with a link to their install PDF's: Http://NetWelding.com/side_skirts.pdf
Here's a few threads which have some great mods. I would like to the add the LED side markers from Showstoppers. They look way better than the single bulb OEM's.
I personally have the intune and the numbers they post on their site are accurate. It's just a hand held tuner that takes between 5 and 6 minutes to backup and flash the ECU/PCM. It's undetectable to the dealer so long as you flash the stock tune back before service. If you do a search on here, you'll find lots of great threads.
forgot this mod I think it s must have. Exoticvette.com's rear partition.
I had a partition on my C6 but am thinking it won't be needed on the C7 with the way the sun shade fits. Assuming I attached it right it acts as a partition of sorts but isn't as sturdy as a solid one like the one you added. So far it seems to be holding the small items I have back there.
